We are currently working with a market leading provider of AI and Machine Learning Tools who are based in London.
They are looking to bring on a Senior Accountant who is fluent in both English and German whilst having experience in German GAAP.
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Play an active role in improving our finance processes, helping us to streamline workflows and drive efficiencies.
- Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Process payroll.
- Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of our cloud-based ERP system (experience with NetSuite a plus).
- Collaborate with external tax consultants and handle quarterly and annual VAT returns.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the finance team and other departments as needed.
What you’ll bring
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Fluency in both English and German (written and spoken) is essential
- Strong German GAAP (HGB) and group accounting experience is essential, knowledge of IFRS in addition to this would be idea
