FP&A Analyst

We are currently working with a Global Hedge Fund who are looking to grow their Dublin within their FP&A team.

This team plays an important role in delivering economic insights and decision making support to the senior leadership of the business.

The ideal candidate would be an individual with strong analytical experience to develop and improve analytical frameworks to facilitate more informed decisions.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly financial dashboards for senior management, highlighting actual results versus forecasts and budgets.

  • Analyze current and historical trends in revenue, expenses, and key performance indicators to enhance financial forecasting accuracy.

  • Contribute to the firm’s annual budgeting and forecasting processes by collaborating with leadership to integrate strategic initiatives.

  • Develop insightful financial analyses to support decision-making and assess business performance.

  • Partner with business units to build financial models and conduct analyses for strategic initiatives, including product expansion and profitability assessments.

  • Engage in firm-wide projects with the flexibility to innovate and introduce new analytical approaches.

  • Collaborate with Finance, Risk, Corporate Strategy, and HR teams on cross-functional initiatives.

  • Support the FRAP team analysts with financial reporting tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in FP&A, ideally within financial services.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (experience with macros and VBA is a plus).

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present ideas effectively in both written and verbal formats.

  • Ability to engage with senior management and cross-functional teams.

  • High attention to detail, strong ownership of work, and ability to work independently.

  • Collaborative team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a strong sense of urgency.
